Mel's Merry Christmas Bliss Balls

Mel’s Merry Christmas Bliss Balls (Makes 20 balls)

These bliss balls are gluten free, dairy free, vegan and tastes like Christmas pudding.  Nice and not naughty! A great treat to take along to your next Christmas party.



6 Medjool dates

100g Hazelnut meal

100g Shredded Coconut and some extra for coating the balls

14g Cacao powder

2 tbs Chia seeds

100ml Coconut Oil (melted)

Rind and juice of ½ Organic orange

½ tsp 100% Vanilla extract

6 drops of Hazelnut Stevia (I used the brand Wisdom Natural, sweet Leaf but plain stevia would also work)

1tsp Organic Cinnamon

Pinch of Ground clove

  1. De-seed and soak dates in warm water for 10 minutes
  2. Place all ingredients in a food processor to blend evenly for 30 seconds    
  3. Roll into approximately 20 balls with hands and then roll into some shredded coconut to coat the balls
  4. Refrigerate for at least 10minutes before eating
